MAB – Muslim Aid Bangladesh is established and registered under Ministry of Social Welfare on 6th November 2004, as a non-profit, non-political voluntary organization and licensed by Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) of Bangladesh Government on 21st January 2009. MAB is working at the root level community keeping close relationship with government institutions and regulatory bodies.

MAB commenced its Micro Credit Program in 1993 with an ambitious vision to help the poorest section in the community to reduce the poverty line of the country. Later it extended the operation by staring small and medium enterprises, agro based Microfinance and a special Micro Finance project for the hard core people. Muslim Aid made Partnership with Islamic Development Bank, Institute of Micro Finance, Credit Development Forum and got registration of Micro Credit Regulatory Authority of Bangladesh Government.

It is our privilege to mention that MAB is the Pioneer of Islamic Microfinance program based on ‘Shariah’ principles that emphasis equitable and justifiable resource distribution and social development. The program is purely a social mission intended to economically empower poor and low income people in developing countries. The Islamic microfinance products that MAB is presently implementing are included Qard-hasana, Bi-Muajjal-though planning for Murabaha, Musharaka. MAB Microfinance program conceives some discrete features which are more acceptable to the participants as well as shariah compliants.

At present, having an Outstanding of BDT. 62 Crores 44 Lakh 41 Thousands (November 2021), MAB Micro finance program is dealing 29,410 Clients (Lonee 20,515 from 1,015 villages in 31 districts of Bangladesh through 45 branches under 04 Regional Offices having 175 staff in total.
